Add trusted members to a channel
A trusted member is someone you let act on a channel as if it were their own. The Manage sharing dialog states it plainly in the Trusted members footer: "Trusted members post from this account without approval and resolve its approvals." That's two grants in one:
- They publish directly to the channel — their posts skip the approval queue entirely.
- They can resolve the channel's approvals — they become an eligible approver and can Approve, Request changes, or Reject other people's posts targeting it.
Because trust hands over both publishing and approval authority, reserve it for a co-owner or a social manager you'd let post unattended.
Trusted vs the drafting toggle
Both let a teammate help with your channel, but they sit at opposite ends of control:

Use the drafting toggle when you want help writing but keep final say over everything that goes out. Add a trusted member when you fully delegate the channel and don't want to be the bottleneck.
Add a trusted member
- Open Settings -> Channels, find your channel, and click its share icon (Manage sharing). See Share your channel for the full walkthrough.
- In the Trusted members section, open the Select a member… dropdown and pick the teammate.
- Click Add. They appear in the list immediately.
Only workspace members appear in the dropdown — invite the person first under Settings -> Members if you don't see them.
Remove a trusted member
Click the trash icon next to their name. A "Trust removed" toast confirms it, and the grant is gone.
How trust interacts with approvals
- Their own posts skip the gate. A trusted member scheduling to this channel lands on Scheduled directly, never Awaiting approval.
- They can clear the queue. Requests for this channel show up for them on the Approvals page and in the post detail Approvals pane, with the same Approve / Request changes / Reject actions the owner has.
- Removal is re-checked at publish time. Authority is verified again the moment a post publishes. If you remove someone's trust between when they scheduled and when a post is due, that post re-routes to approval instead of going out — nothing publishes on revoked trust.
